Jason Allen stands as a dedicated voice for parents and students alike. As a proud public school parent and graduate, he understands the unique challenges and opportunities that our education system faces. With 19 years of public service under his belt, Jason has spent his career protecting Utah's natural resources and now, as an independent candidate running to represent District 12 on the Utah State Board of Education, he's ready to protect and elevate our public schools.

Jason brings nearly two decades of public service experience and a deep commitment to education to his candidacy for the Utah State Board of Education. With a career spanning 19 years in Utah State Parks, Jason has demonstrated leadership, dedication, and a passion for serving his community.

Jason has a career of extraordinary accomplishments, going from Park Ranger to Park Manager to Program Manager.

Jason is P.O.S.T. Certified in Law Enforcement, has worked as an Emergency Vehicle Operations Instructor, and is a recipient of the Life Saving Award from the Fraternal Order of Police.

He has been recognized by two Utah Governors for life-saving efforts and has established the agency's Peer Support Team, focusing on first responder mental health

Jason's commitment to public service extends beyond his professional role. He spearheaded the creation of a First Responder Mental Health Team, showcasing his dedication to the well-being of those who serve our communities.

Jason's passion for learning and public administration is evident in his academic pursuits: He received an Associate’s in Political Science from Utah Valley University, a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Utah State University, and a Master's in Public Administration from Brigham Young University.

Married for 21 years, Jason is a devoted family man with deep roots in Utah's public education system. His wife, an educator with over 20 years of experience, brings valuable insights to their shared commitment to improving schools.

As parents of four children (ages 19, 16, 13, and 10), all of whom have attended or are currently enrolled in public schools, the Allens have a personal stake in the quality of Utah's education. Their second child is enrolled in Alpine School District's special education program, giving Jason firsthand experience with the diverse needs of students in the public school system.

This personal connection to public education, from both an educator's and a parent's perspective, drives Jason's commitment to enhancing Utah's schools for all students. In his spare time, Jason enjoys boating, reading, and taking family trips to Disneyland.
